Asia In the Global Crisis

Ask anyone about the current state of the world’s economy and the expected response would be about the global financial crisis, companies going out of business and the rising number of unemployed individuals. This response is true enough… on one side of the coin, that is.

Asia

This side shows how much the economy of the United States affects the rest of the world. The recession in the United States was like a big stone that got dropped into the ocean of world finance that sent out ripples affecting the economies of even the most established and secured countries; not to mention that of the less stable, smaller economies.

The flip side of the coin actually shows a different story. Instead of the United States in recession, it shows the image of Asian countries like China and India doing more than just surviving the global crisis. The economy of the two countries are thriving in the crisis, slowly but surely rising despite the economic problems in The West.

Some economists even say that in 2050 companies in China and India might even surpass those in the west as they are going through a steady growth right now while the western counterparts are fighting to keep their heads afloat.
